Dentro del gran universo de objetos primeramente concebidos en su cabeza y posteriormente realizados personalmente en su taller, Chema Madoz, casi nunca ha optado por la manipulación digital de sus fotografías. En un seminario en el que tuve oportunidad de escucharle en persona, admitió que esta fotografía sí que fue ligeramente retocada para crear el evidente efecto. En cualquier caso, el resultado es primero impactante, y después sugerente. Siempre ocurre con sus trabajos, los cuales constan de dos lecturas, en la primera encajamos el desajuste visual, en la segunda leemos todo el contenido que quiere expresar. Las cosas no son lo que parecen.

Within the larger universe of objects designed in his head first and then personally made in his workshop, Chema Madoz, almost never opted for the digital manipulation of photographs. At a seminar in which I was able to hear him in person, he admitted that this photograph was slightly retouched to create the apparent effect. In any case, the result is striking first, and then appealing. Always with his work, which consists of two readings, the first fit the visual gap, in the second one we read all the content he wants to express. Things are not what they seem.
