Nunca vivió de la fotografía, pero sus excursiones solitarias, cámara al hombro, por la geografía gallega marcaron un antes y un después. Retó a la ortodoxia obsesionada con la perfección, capturando la realidad desde dentro.
Su estilo se caracterizó por encuadres arriesgados, contrastes acentuados y proximidad con los modelos.
Natural de Sant Boi, se fue de milicias a Vigo en 1950 y se casó con una viguesa. Tras vivir siete años en Barcelona, donde se inició en la fotografía, regresó para siempre a la ciudad gallega.
Nacido en 1928, Terré empezó como caricaturista y con 27 años descubrió la fotografía. Realizó su obra en excursiones solitarias porque, como él decía “las fotos las encuentras, no las haces”.
