Los estorninos son muy difíciles de “controlar”. Se cuenta la historia de un hombre que fue molestado por dormideros de estorninos en un gran sicómoro cerca de su casa. Dijo que lo intentó todo para deshacerse de ellos y, finalmente, disparó con una escopeta a tres de ellos y los mató. Cuando se le preguntó si eso desalentó a los pájaros, reflexionó un momento, se inclinó hacia delante, y dijo confidencialmente: “A esos tres si.”

He said he tried everything to get rid of them and finally took a shotgun to three of them and killed them.
