Hoy hemos tenido conocimiento de que el Premio Nacional de Fotografía 2012 en España ha recaído en el gran fotógrafo Eugeni Forcano.
El jurado ha reconocido “la extraordinaria calidad de su trabajo, la perdurabilidad de sus imágenes, su larga trayectoria, destacando su capacidad de innovación y experimentación en el lenguaje fotográfico”.
Según palabras del gran Gervasio Sanchez:
“Qué fotógrafo más maravilloso y más olvidado. Qué fotógrafo más preciso y humilde. Qué talento, qué ojo. Alguien lo denominó el Cartier Bresson de la Fotografía española y no se equivocó.
Felicidades maestro y espero que disfrutes de este premio tan importante. A tus 86 años sigues siendo un niño.”

Today we’ve known that the National Photography Prize 2012 in Spain has gone to the great photographer Eugeni Forcano.
The jury has recognized “the extraordinary quality of his work, survival of its images, its long history, highlighting its capacity for innovation and experimentation in the photographic language.”
In the words of the great Gervasio Sanchez:
“What wonderful photographer and forgotten. What a precise and humble photographer. What talent, which eye. Someone called him the Cartier Bresson of Spanish photography and he was right.
Congratulations teacher and I hope you enjoy this important award. In your 86 years you are still a child.”
