En 1999, Alessandra Sanguinetti comenzó a trabajar en una serie de fotografías que documentan la vida de dos jóvenes primas llamadas Guille y Belinda en la granja de su familia en las afueras de Buenos Aires. Cultivando una relación íntima con la pareja, la Sra. Sanguinetti colaboró con las niñas durante los siguientes nueve años, construyendo imágenes inspiradas en los sueños, fantasías y temores que acompañan a la transición física y psicológica de la niñez a la edad adulta.
Como continuación de la exposición mostrada en la galería Yossi Milo en 2004 titulada “Las aventuras de Guille y Belinda y el enigmático significado de sus sueños”, esta segunda entrega, “La vida que viene”, muestra a las niñas convirtiendose en mujeres jóvenes tal como ellas se encuentran con la realidad del crecimiento, las relaciones y la maternidad. Esta será la tercera exposición de Sanguinetti en la galería Yossi Milo de Nueva York.

In 1999, Alessandra Sanguinetti began working on a series of photographs documenting the lives of two young cousins named Guille and Belinda on their family’s farm outside Buenos Aires. Cultivating an intimate relationship with the pair, Ms. Sanguinetti collaborated with the girls for the next nine years, constructing images inspired by the dreams, fantasies, and fears that accompany the psychological and physical transition from childhood to adulthood.
As a continuation of the exhibition shown at Yossi Milo gallery in 2004 entitled The Adventures of Guille and Belinda and the Enigmatic Meaning of their Dreams, this second installment, The life that came, shows the girls becoming young women as they encounter the realities of growing up, relationships, and motherhood. This will be Sanguinetti’s third exhibition at Yossi Milo Gallery in New York.
